Notes for Mayo LABORDE

Mayo LaBorde was a cripple whose nickname was Pipan. He had a two seat
roadster with hand brakes made especally for him and when he died my
brother inherited the car. He had brakes installed and I would drive
around town in the car. Mayo LaBorde died in his sleep at the home of
his brother Allen Joseph LaBorde's. He could not live without his mother
and died of grief for her.

This page is dedicated to the men and women who braved great danger to come from France and other countries and worked under extremely difficult conditions in the Louisiana Wilderness to produce a better way of life for their descendants.  To all of them we are deeply indebted.
